Broken TTB
Hi everyone this is my first post on here. I just picked up a 97 F250 PSD and as I was pulling in my driveway for the first time the driver side "arm" broke. It snapped right between the pumpkin and the leaf spring mount. Is this a common problem with these front ends? I've never really heard of it but I don't have a whole lot of experience with Fords either.
I found a Ford Dana 44 and was wondering if that would swap right in as a Dana 60 would? I'd like a 60 eventually but I need to get this truck up and running within the next couple days and don't have the funds availible right now to put a 60 in the truck. Would I be better off putting the 44 in if it will work or should I just try to find a new "arm" for the TTB and wait until I get a 60 to get rid of the current setup? Thanks in advance for any advice. Tony |
