Recharging the A/C, having issues

Hey my A/C has started getting a little warmer (still works ok though) and I decided to recharge it. I recharged it about 25,000 miles ago. I bought two cans of the R-134 and supposedly this stuff is supposed to stop leaks and oil the system also. I got it at A-zone it's called "sub-zero". Anyway, I put the gauge on it and ran the system on Max for about 5 mins. It was right about 25 pounds, so I added a can. My gauge says that anything from 30 to 40 is "full". Well, while I was putting the stuff in the psi was jumping around, which is normal but then it stayed at 25 again. So I put another can in..same thing..it's STILL at 25 pounds after two full cans! I'm not putting anymore in. I checked my wifes car and the gauge seems to be working ok, it's at 35 pounds. What gives here? How much of this stuff should I put in? It's like 12 bucks a can. I have to say though that my air is indeed much colder now, so something happened.
