I dont think you are the only one that has had that problem. In the past, one of the problems with Fords transmissions is that the fluid pressure drops dramatically during shift points. During shift points is when you want to keep your fluid pressure constant.
If you dont find anybody that knows what they are doing, I'm sure any of the performance transmissions will help. ATS seems to be pretty popular for Diesel Trannsmissions.
