I replaced my core last summer. It isn't too bad of a job. The biggest part is getting it in and out of your RV. Here is a link to the steps in replacing the core. >
Rebuilding Process
Pretty simple really. If you can cut and assemble an a/c plenum then you can do it. I didn't even know what an amonia cooling system was until I pulled mine and replaced it.
