I saw the same thing over the summer, but on a smaller scale, and from the other end.
A guy drove a little toyota pickup into someones yard and they had a chain link fence around the yard. All the fence was bunched up in front of the truck and the pipe that makes the top of the fence had gone through the cab, out the back and through all their belongings that were in the bed (they were moving). Must have been 20' of pipe through the glass.
When I drove by, there was 2 people still sitting in the front seat. I bet the cab of that truck will smell like poo for ever! They were both OK, very lucky.
Its amazing how many close calls there must be every day.
A girl my wife works with had a car fall off the top level of a carrier truck and almost land on her car while she was at a stoplight. Had she been tailgating like most do, SPLAT.
Nasty stuff.
Glad to see that this guy was OK too.
