Sorry to highjack, the big head wastegate is going to keep the wastegate closed longer to build high psi. Disconnecting the wastegate or shortening the rod(which makes it still look factory) will not open the wastegate at all. But the truck will still defuel when it senses overboost. You should look into a boost innihilator to trick the computer and not defuel the truck. You should have a set of gauges to watch the psi and egt's.
