Thumbs up First towing road trip-WOW!

Well, I finally got to tow my camper with my PSD - cool! It's just a pop-up so not that heavy.
The ride was great! I've had some loads in the back, but nothing heavy over long distances. This was eye opening, I went 300 miles, kept it at under 70, 65-68 or so, with the AC running and my mileage was 16.6 on the way over and 17.2 on the way back! I even drove faster on the way home! The mountain pass was no problem, down shifting, what is that?
Then this week for work I had to take my truck on the road for 250 miles round trip. Empty on the way out, drove 75-80 (not my fuel bill!) then on the way home had about 1500 lbs in the back, cruise set at 70, AC on, got 17.2 for the trip!
One nice thing with all that weight in the back or on the hitch, sure smooths out the ride.
Got new tires on it, Les Schwab Wild Country XTX Sport in 265's load range E. Those sure helped the handling and ride. Had the tranny serviced too, that helped the shifting it seemed. Not sure when it had been done before.
Wow, what a great truck. Loving the power!
