hey guys New to the site and need some input.
A little back ground on my truck. 2002 F350 xlt , 4x4 crew cab dually, diesel of course. The truck currently has 123000 KM's or 76000 miles. I pull a 5th wheel trailer three to four months of the year total weight combined less than 20000 lbs as well as a 16 foot enclosed trailer with a few contractor tools in it.
Mods- 4" turbo back dual exhaust ( bully Dog ), Hypertec programmer ( havn't used since last year see below) K&n ram air filter ( have two and swap every month)
Owned since new, all recalls have been done including camshaft position sensor.
Last year I had a cracked injector cup, How it was found I had Diesel in the antifreeze, coming out of the overflow. Three months after the engine warrenty had expired. Needless to say no help from Ford, that was at 100000km's ( the 5 years expired on the warrenty) At a cost of $3500.00 out of pocket
Since than I have experienced a noticable miss in the engine.
Here is what the mechanic has done. in the last three visits at a cost of $ 1600.00 +
Compression test - Fine
Boost- Fine
Remove and test all injectors - Within spec and fine.
Fuel delivery- Fine
Wiring- Fine
No codes, no check engine light nothing
Truck still has the same miss, and seems to be variable with rpm's, very noticable at 1100 to 1200, and runs rougher ( shaking), and slightly harder to start.
Since all these tests have been done there doesn't seem to be much left
Any Ideas and has any one heard of or had camshaft problems? Valve train
Please help
Steve
