An Idea from one of my buddies who have a 5th wheel. Go to the hardware store. Get a traffic cone as well as some bungie cords. When the 5th wheel is parked you cover the king pin up with the traffic cone and bungie cord it so it don't fall off. That way you hit the traffic cone nice rubber don't hurt. Rather then hitting the king pin.
