Question Overheating and puking

I am currently on a vacation in Colorado and I am having some issues. While towing my 14000 LB 5er I started having overheating issues. The temps would hit 240 and then drop quickly, I am also having puking out the degas bottle. I have replaced the degas cap and have blocked off the EGR gas pipe with the "sneeky pipe and the blockoff plate", when I tow I run ID's tow tune. The top temp for EGRs has been 1300 for short periods 1 to 3 mins. The oil temp seams to hold steady in the middle. I do not see any white smoke out the tailpipe either. It never overheats when I run the Xtreme street tune but it does puke on occasion. I have put 2 gallons of coolant in in the last 2 days. Its is puking a lot.
Could I be looking at needing an oil cooler and egr cooler even though I blocked off the hot gas to the EGR cooler, or could it be head gaskets and only blowing past the gasket under a load.
And last and possibly the most important, as long as I keep enough coolant in the system can I get home to KC from Denver area without doing to much damage?
Oh, and does anyone know of a good and mod friendly dealership in the KC MO area for the warranty work ?
