Choctaw, what I mean by that is, the fan will pull air more air into the area, then push that same amount of air through the fins of the cooler.
It would be like taking and making this big funnel on the front of your truck. Funneling air into the area of the grill. Bringing in more air then what normally would be flowing through there with out it. Because the air will be directed into that area.
Also a fan is two sided. On one side you have pulling or vaccuum. On the other side of the fan you have pushing force.
