Tranny overheating

I was trying to see if my Pyro probe was causing my exhaust leak so I was in 2wd staging it up to blow some smoke while I had a buddy watching, well after about 20 seconds he told me to shut it down b/c it was puking... Whats new.... and he said he smelled a light hint of tranny fluid, well it was not hot or anything so I didn't think much and started to drive home. About 3 miles down the road my tow/haul light was flashing so I hooked up to my AE and checked them and got a P0741, P1744, P1783 and cleared them well about another 5 miles or so it started flashing again and it got HOT! So I let it cool and limped it another mile to my house and pulled the same codes. Now if I let it cool it will be pushing 230+ withing 3 miles from the house... even after sitting over night. I dropped the pan and changed that filter and the little filter, but it didn't help. The fluid did look burned though... Any thoughts or ideas? We were thinking it may have burned the torque converter up or whatnot because it will shift fine until it gets hot... But I have heard one of the solenoids might not be holding enough pressure letting the clutches slip and heat up...
