Leon,
In resp to your question/s. the warm water thing. thats so open ended like what was the ph balance of the water, and were the seats covered in dirt when you did this? and was the ambient temperature super hot? etc...

I think the thing to do now is "start by properly cleaning them, Then-- keep them clean and conditioned. All this can be done very simply. get some lexol
perhaps in your case the "wipes version" this way you can keep em in the truck and use them on demand (while in the field if necessary).
the wipes come in nice easy to keep containers orange and brown keep em in your truck if you have the room. or take a few of them out and keep em in a freezer zip lock bag.
By doing this you will at least be able to rest knowing you Cleaned them properly Also removing any foreign matter. that would eventually damage your leather

as much as I'd like to answer your orig. question "reverse any damaged i may have done" I would say this if any damage has occurred its prob. irreversible. if this is the case. don't worry you can at least at this point keep them maintained from her on out. think of it like a wound. you can take care of the wound. and end up with minimal scarring. OR not take care of it and end up an amputee.

good luck!
