6.9 Straight pipe upgrade.

Hello there,

Just bought a 85 F250 6.9 with low miles, Looking to start with upgrading the exhaust. Can I use dual 3.5 inch straight pipes on the truck? (No muffler) Or will this wake the neighbors up at 5am? I want a really good sound. Would there be any obstructions by using the twin pipes? Such as fuel tank or spare tire.

Thanks,
Justin

dual 3.5in. pipes would work just fine. wouldn't go any smaller than 3.5" though.

not sure about any obstructions, you'll just have to see what you think

it should sound ok, check youtube for some videos

if your 6.9 is anything like mine and all the others i've heard it a loud chatery neighbor waking machine anyway, thought my 6.9 is very quite running on veggie oil.
