i got a 86 ext cab 250 6.9 wastgated ats turbo. when i first start my truck in the mornin it acts like it dont want to start it will sit and crank for a 5 - 10 seconds then it starts the glow plug light with flash on and off for 15 seconds or so after it starts. if the temp drops 20 degrees or more overnight it dont like start either. after it starts and warms up it runs normal.

When first started does it idle rough for a minute and then clear up?
If so, thats a classic air in the fuel system, symptom. Most likely cause is the injector return lines. |

ya pretty much when i first start it in the morning it fires right up then it wants to die if i feather the foot feed for 10 seconds or so it clears right up. if i dont feather it for a few seconds it will die then i gotta cycle the glow plugs again put the pedal on the floor and crank it. it will crank 10 seconds or so before it starts.
