losing power

my 6.9 runs good but the other day i was driving it andat a certain rpm it chugs or misses on a few cylinders, then if you stomp on it it runs good, it seems to be at a certain rpm at certain times. some times its ok. it doesnt die it just struggles. what could it be?

i have that same problem with my idi. it's something with the injection system that i haven't figured out yet

Hmm...sounds odd. First thing would be to replace the fuel filter, basic maintainance anyways. After that I would start looking at lift pump, return lines, and then lastly the IP.
