Adjusting injection pump

PowerstrokeDatabase.com :: Turning Up The Injector Pump On A 7.3L And 6.9L IDI
if i do the turn the pump up how many time can i turn in the screw(how many full turns) and still be safe, i dont have a pyrometer to measure exhaust temps

i have an old 6.9 and have the screw turned up 2 and half turns and it runs pretty darn good.

how do them 6.9s run i gots 2 superduty 7.3s but id like to get an old 6.9 and show them cummins boys up a lil bit
