Normal Trans temp

I'm new to the site so please bear with me. I used the search but, nothing came up so I will ask. I have a 2012 F-250 and while driving normal on the interstate with no load my Trans Temp will creep up to 200. Has anyone else had this happen or is this just normal??????????

It's Normal! Scared me too the first time I saw 200* on both oil and trans temps. I highest i have seen (on mine) is 220 Oil and 215 Trans.

Anybody tow real heavy up steep grades see anywhere close to the top of the gauges? Just wondering what temp the digital readout says...

That is surprising. I saw mine get to near 180* once towing a big arse boat in stop/go traffic. The other 97% of the time im 150-165* towing or unloaded.

I wonder why they want the new ones to run hotter..?

I would imagine the 3.31 and 3.55's would be quite a bit lower temp on the freeway. And 3.73 and 4.10's would be warmer on the freeway?

Not sure if this is true or not, in my mind it would make sense...
