450 check eng and shifting problems

My 450 recently started to show a check engine light. It also has weird shifting patterns as well as when shifting from 1st to 2nd it stays in neutral for a few seconds. Anybody heard of this or has had warranty work done for this problem? I want to know exactly what was diagnosed so I can maybe argue with the dealer about it.

A CEL can be many things. There is a reflash for a shifting issue.

A sensor? There's a lot of them

I made my Samsung SGH-I997 send this.

Shouldnt be an arguement.... transmission issues with the new 6 ps. are a known issue. A dealership that says they have not had complaints about it are either lying or completely clueless...
There are multiple software updates, but none have been very good at fixing the 1/2 flairing issues or the 3/4 going neutral.
By speaking directly with a Ford engineer about the issues... I was able to get mine fixed for almost a year, but its starting to experience these issues again. They replaced several valve body components.... Guess its time to replace them again.
I cannot help but think the aftermarket will be coming out with some heavy duty shift solenoids to remedy this soon...

I'm going to take it to the dealer as soon as I get the time but we have a very bad relationship with the ford dealer in our town.

another thing that you might experience is the trans. shifting into neutral when attempting the 3/4 change. When it happened to me, it would simply go completely neutral!. The only way to get it back into gear was to bring the truck to a complete stop.
Typically, when the 1/2 change acts up, you can just let off the throttle for a few seconds and it will shift into 2nd.... but the 3/4 acting up almost got me wrecked several times!.
