Lower MPGs after transmission solenoids replaced.

Guys, as I have posted before, I had harsh transmission shifts for a long time and finally had the transmission solenoids replaced and the tcm reset. The truck is now driving a lot better, however, I am seeing about a 1mpg decrease over the trucks average life mpg.

Has anyone else noticed this after having this TSB done?

more than likely they have reset all previous memory and is still relearning. computers can store driving habits to fit the driver.

They did re set it. How long does it take to re learn? I have about 4k miles on it since this was done and I am still getting 1-2 mpg less than before the work.

I would think 4Kmi is enough.. You can try the Transmission Relearn Procedure.

• 0-80 MPH @ 25% throttle position, then slow down and come to a complete stop.
• 0-80 MPH @ 50% throttle position, then slow down and come to a complete stop.
• 0-80 MPH @ 100% throttle position, then slow down and come to a complete stop.

Mines at the dealer getting the solenoids replaced now. Had it flashed last fall and the hard shifts kept coming back. Hopefully I don't have the same MPG issues...
