2012 F350 fuel gauge locked on full.

Just like the title says. Was filling on the fly from my slip tank. Gauge went to 3/4. I shut the valve. Now it's on full and not dropping. Wtf do I do now haha?! Sending unit? Anyone heard of this before?

Thanks.

Here's a better question... What's the part called that send the signal? I'm thinking I'll buy that unit to replace and swap in a Titan tank at the same time. Thanks!!

This happened to me on my 6.0. Was running around on the auxiliary tank in the bed which fills the stock tank full to the filler neck, like wayyyy full. Was running around for months like that. When I finely let the Aux tank go empty the stock tanks gauge was stuck on full. Guess the float got stuck. Never did fix it, just ran off the Auxiliary tank gauge.
