check engine light came on at 42,xxx miles

dang light came on while driving. P0401 egr is bad. time for delete kit but wife is not letting me. hmm

If you have a 11 or 12 I've got an xrt pro for sale in Houston. Depending on how much the dealer wants to fix it, deleting might be cheaper. But at 42k you should still be under warranty

If you end up not deleting, I have a complete EGR setup removed from my 2012 that has only around 9k miles on it. Was planning on keeping it, but idk if I'm ever going back to stock. Will sell for whatever the going rate is on them.
