How many of you have had to replace dpf?

So I'm in the market for a used 2011+ (focusing on 2012), F250 or F350 cc 4wd srw and am concerned about all the new emission components on these trucks. After reading horror stories about trucks having issues and being immobile due to exhaust sensors and dpf's, I'm second guessing my decision.

So how common is the need to replace the dpf? It doesn't seem like it is covered under warranty either.

I also realize that reading the issues on this forum only represent a handful of trucks and I'm sure there are thousands of trucks that don't have issues. I plan on using it as a daily driver and to tow a 10k toy hauler.

Thanks!!

Buy the '13 or newer 6.7L! The '12's still had some issues Ford hadn't addressed. You will start to see more and more used '13's appear.

Thanks for the input. I'll start checking out the 2013s. Were there many changes between the 2012 and 2013? I don't want to pass up a good deal if a used 2012 pops up? Seems like dealers and individuals want high dollar for used 2012 and 2013s, almost what you could get a new one for.
Thanks again

I dont think there is anything major to worry about with the dpf. The Def is kinda a PITA though.
