Exclamation Starting system failure with key but not auto start

2011 lariat Starts with auto start but then shuts off and alarm goes off when key is put in and turned? Anyone got any ideas or nightmares to share? It's a pretty lawn ornament but would look better going down the road

Sounds like they key isn't programmed to the truck if that's possible. It's a lawn ornament; so you can't even start it at all?

It starts with auto start but soon as you insert then turn either one if the keys it shuts off and horn starts honking in alarm. Did it once yesterday n
Then when I opened door while running it said "insert key to stop alarm" n that fixed it but today neither key will start nor allow to
Continue past auto start start. It's like the keys are no longer programmed or something

2011 6.7 starting problem update

Truck would start with auto start but not with key indicating starting system failure and security alarm would go off. Son in-law is ford diesel mechanic n had seen it one time before. Turns out the truck security was reading chip in FOCUS key on ring instead of the lariat key in ignition. Thus after couple tries with key it would go into lockout mode. Pulled FORD FOCUS key OFF ring and truck's starting fine.
