Too many regens???

Ok, before I get bashed for posting this please note that I have spent the entire weekend searching this forum once I confirmed what the truck was doing. It seems I am getting a regen about every 70 miles or so. Just this weekend it did it twice in 150 miles and if my calculations are correct it should happen again in about 40 miles. It does it on long drives and short drives alike. I don't always see the "cleaning exhaust filter" message but I'm not always paying attention. I just notice when my instant fuel mileage drops from 20 or so to 12. My truck is a 2013 F250 lariat with 1200 mikes on it. I ready a few posts that mentioned bad exhaust valves or bad turbos or EGR clogged. But others say it may be normal. I always make sure to never interrupt a cleaning cycle too. Anyone have any ideas? Any help would be appreciated before I take the truck back to the dealership. Thanks.

V/R,
Robert

Well I spoke with the dealership today and I will be taking it in on Wednesday to have the computer reflashed. Hope that fixes it.

Please keep us posted. My new 1 week old 2012 F350 with only 1150 miles on it has regened 2 times in the last 150 miles too. I was thinking that it would be every 500 miles or so. I drive 80% hwy and 20% stop and go.

Mine has been regening alot too. I didn't mention it to the deal after all of the turbo crap yesterday but I get about 60 miles between them but I haven't kept track of them that well. I figured it was due to my heavy foot and the soot build up.

Well the service rep did some searching while I was on hold and said he found a good bit of traffic on this issue. Not sure if there was a TSB on it or not, I will be at the dealer in a couple hours, I'll ask about that and definitely let you know if this fixes it.

Well the dealership did a full scan on the truck and it only showed that it regened three times in 1400 miles. When I told him that I see the fuel mileage drop about every 70 or so miles like its doing a regen he said he couldn't explain that. The computer couldn't read enough history to determine why it would drop like that. So for now I guess I wait and see what it does and pay close attention to the display for that split second message. I'm driving to Connecticut from Virginia on Monday so that should definitely let me know.

Based on what I have read, no. But maybe I'm using the term wrong. Maybe someone on here could help. Most of what I know about this system I've learned from doing searches on the .org so who knows.
