Shift problem

I have a '12 F350 cc Lariat Ultimate and I just turned over 5000 miles. I've taken it in to the dealer for this problem and they couldn't find anything. It doesn't happen all the time, but when I shift from park to reverse or drive it will shift really hard. It doesn't seem right. I just wanted your guy's opinion. Seems it shouldn't shift that loud or hard. Like I said the dealer kept it overnight and they couldn't get it to do it. They told me to bring it back if it kept doing it.

Depends what you claim is hard. mine does it but don't think it's anything unusual and done it from day one. Is it on a hill or anything when this happens?

It happens on a grade or flat ground. It doesn't happen that often. I just want to make sure this is normal. My '04 6.0 didn't do that. Just curious if that's the Torqshift tranny and its normal. I do put the e-brake on before I put it in park, not sure if that makes a difference.

Mine does it too but never really noticed it much. Have you tried without setting the emergency brake?
