Heard about a 6.7 series problem today- hubs
Very reliable source, buddy that owns a truck parts place told me that there are 20 6.7's sitting dead in Fort Macmurray right now, failed front hubs and zero parts availability. The dealer bought both from a truck he is wrecking, has him looking for any he can find. How many hundred trucks would this company buy yearly? Hundreds or thousands?
Scary stuff, and ridiculous to think that the factory would not be shipping hubs. Anyone else hearing similar stories? |

I don't know if I am being paranoid or not, but my left hub is making noise and it clunks when shifting into 4x4 now.....dammit

Took it in for 1st oil change yesterday, had the hubs checked.
New one being installed under warranty on the 10th. Hypochondriac my arse. Just finely tuned ear

These hubs are bullet proof for the most part...any failures will typically be isolated incidents. Warn makes them in Oregon...and they have been making Ford's hubs for a long time.

No issues around here that I've heard of. |

My left clunks while engaging too. Doesn't seem like the normal locking in sound. I will have to get this checked out.

Same hubs as previous years, its a commons axle to boot so doubt there is a shortage.
