Problems Shifting?

So I've got a '12 F350 with 3300 miles. I love the truck so far. My question is about shifting. The shifting the truck does driving is fine. What I'm having issues with is when I shift out of park into drive or reverse. It doesn't do it all the time, but it will shift really hard as if you had let it roll in park before you put the ebrake on. I've tried setting the ebrake first before putting into park and also after, it doesn't seem to make a difference. Like I said, it doesn't do it all the time, but when it does, I sure worry about the tranny. Is this normal or ok if it does this? I don't remember my '04 6.0 doing this.

My '12 350 doesn't do this. Are you parking on level surfaces or inclines when the hard shifting occurs?

This has been on level ground. Like leaving a parking lot. Like I said, it doesn't do it every time, but more than I want it too.

TSB 12-9-4

ISSUE:
Some 2011-2012 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a TorqShift6 transmission and built on or before 7/26/2012 may exhibit an intermittent delayed transmission engagement in drive or reverse. The concern will only occur during the initial transmission engagement after the vehicle is parked with the engine off for a minimum of 2 to 3 hours. This concern may be caused by the transmission pump losing prime.

I took in my 2012 F250 KR yesterday to the Ford servce dept. for the replacement of the trans pump. Now after the repair, it's shift very smooth better than before the repair and no delay engagement!

Hope this help you.

usn60, thanks for the info. I'm going to have the dealer take a look at it. I will bring this info with me.
