my dads truck makes a sqweeking nosie in the dash?. hope i spell this right

I had the same noise under my dash, twice. Both times it was a loose bolt that held the frame under the dash to the display cluster. The two metal parts were rubbing together. The dealer finally applied lock-tite the second time.
I could not find the bolt, but took the dealer a good half a day to find the noise. It was difficult to find, since a bump in the road would start to make it sing and would not make the noise all the time.
