air conditioning fan went out.
I've had the truck for less than a week and really disappointed that something is wrong already. The climate control has all the lights on and temps still show, but nothing happens. This morning it worked fine, than the fan started cutting in and out, and now it does nothing. What really sucks is it is like 95 degrees outside, and it doesn't help my truck is black. I have an appointment with service for thursday.
Seems like fords have climate control issues. my dad has a 2003 f150 and his went out last week, but somehow fixed itself and now works fine. We also have a mercury mountaineer that would blow on high. Even if I turned it off, it would still blow, and that somehow fixed itself also. Seems kind of strange to me. And no I didn't have it on max ac or set the temp to 60 or anything like that. |

Got it fixed and the fix was kind of rediculous. When the truck was put together, the person who was plugging the wires in didn't get one all the way together and it slowly worked its way apart. All they had to do was plug it back in. I hope the rest of my connections will be ok.

Mine, about a month into owning it, had the blower motor go faulty. It was stuck on panel so no defrost etc. It's awesome losing your defrost in the middle of winter.
Had the dealership fix it, and now I no longer have GPS on my nav unit so someone forgot to plug something back in when they had the dash apart. I kinda wish the mechanics I take my other vehicles to could do Ford warranty work. |
