Minor issue

Maybe this is being nit picky, but there was something odd about my truck the other day. I started it and noticed that the rpm gauge at idle was about 3000 rpm - somehow the baseline had shifted from 0. So simply driving was registering beyond the redline I tried a few restarts to no avail, so I booked a appointment for servicing. Later on that day, I started it and the problem has corrected itself. Not sure why it got out of whack, or why the first two restarts did not correct the problem, but the next one did.

At any rate this is not a real problem as it corrected itself, but I thought I should note it.

my 06 did this but it was the speedo not the tack, it did it one day and I was driving past the dealer and pulled in and showed them, got a whole new cluster installed under warranty. Next time if there is one don't shut the truck off and drive to the nearest dealer pull in and leave the truck running and have them come out and look at it. good luck.
