Stuck dip stick

1800 miles and wanted to check the oil level for the first time. Dipstick was stuck and would not budge. I made a 'quick lane' stop asked the service department to check my oil as I was in a hurry and needed to drive 3 hrs to work for a few days. No go. The tech pulled until he looked at me and said he may break it....at which time we stopped because I couldn't take the downtime. Anybody else have this issue and if so...what was the solution? I will bring to service next week.

If it's the first time the dip stick is being removed, it's in there pretty snug, just work with it and it will come out, just make sure you re-seat it fully so no oil blows out the tube when the engine is running.
The first time I removed mine, it too was difficult to remove, now it's not so bad, but still requires a small effort to remove.

Try turning the stick first, back and forth.

The oil level should have been checked during the PDI, but we won't get into that.

The first time, it's pretty tight. After time, it loosens up.

that's why I did my best to choose my words as careful as possible, but after reading my post again, I guess there really are no other words to choose

Thanks. Thats what I was wondering...shouldn't the dealership be the first ones checking this. Actually my local dealer found the truck at another dealer, so this means two dealers failed to check the oil! I dont remember anything in HS being this snug!
