Mine is doing this as well when in sixth when you are barely on the gas at 50-55mph. Been doing it for a while, but wasn't able to associate it with regen until a couple of days ago, when it did it three different times (stop and go while regen was trying to take place). Feels like you have a flat tire or like a ujiont in the driveline is shot.
So...yesterday i noticed it was in regen again, so i stopped by the local dealership and grabbed a tech, and took him for a ride, and showed him what was going on. He said, "yep this is definately not normal, and there is something wrong". He also said, "this is not the first time i have seen or heard of this, but i am not sure that ford has a fix for it at this time".
So...we headed back to the dealership to schedule an appointment for them to look at it. I went in and did scheduled an appointment for next tuesday, as a ford engineer is going to be there to look at a 2011 who has the same issue (amongst others and has been dealing with it for almost 2 years and 30k miles - i know the guy).
Anyhow...i get ready to leave after scheduling the appointment, and i start the truck up, back up about 15', and put it in drive and go to press the gas, and the truck dies, and says stop now in message center, right in front of the dealership! Put it in drive and try to restart, nothing. I go back in and grab the same tech, and he couldn't beleive it.
He hooked his laptop up and found out that i had a bad egt sensor in the exhaust and apparantely that can shut the truck down without a check engine light or any sort of warning, WTF? Of course they didn't have one in stock, but they were nice enough to pull one off a new truck on the lot, to get me going again.
Between this, having to limp the truck back to dealership for def system error, the shaking that occurs when in regen, and the erratic shifting from 1-2 and 2-3 sometimes, all within less than 9 months and 10k, i am about ready to jump ship. This engineer on tuesday better have some answers!
