F-250 Shifting Hard

I just got my F-250 last week, I have a little over a 1,000 miles on it. Since the day I got it, it's been shifting kinda hard when accelerating, and even when I go from park to drive to reverse, or any combination it seems to jerk into gear? Is this how everyone's truck shifts, or should I bring it in?

I believe there is a computer update that addresses this issue. You should take it in unfortunately.

Just got mine updated yesterday. Ford sent out a notice to all affected owners - there is a known issue with hard shifting on some earlier produciton models.

Mine mainly seemed to have the problem from 2nd to 3rd and 4th to 5th. Anyways, so far so good regarding smooth shifts.

yes, a reflash will eliminate the hard shifting..

I just had some selonoids replaced in mine due to hard shifting and being confused in second once in a while it would go to first and throw me into the windshield or shift hard into third. ALL is good now that selenoids are replaced.....
