Creaking or popping door panels -windows all the way up..

Anyone have creaking or popping coming from the door panels when the windows are rolled all the way up? Especially on the passenger side.

If I just hit the down button quickly and the window moves down slightly it will relieve the tension (I guess) and the noise is less severe. Most likely pressure from the window pushing against the inner part of the door causing the squeaks?

Ideas on how to diagnose properly or fix?

Planned on taking door panels off this weekend to have a look.

My truck has developed a faint popping in both doors. It sounds like it is coming from the b pillar. I'm going to have ford look at it, next time it's in for an oil change.

Ya mine is going in this weekend so they can see if they can stop it. Gets annoying driving down the road and the front and rear door make that sound.

thanks for chiming in.

It's not that they are not tight and snug, it's that they creek and pop like the plastic is rubbing or hitting something inside the doors both front and rear passenger. Also the pillar does the same thing. Truck is going in as soon as I can drop it off so they can look at it.

I'll post back when I have more info.

thanks for that info though.

My truck from new has always had a rattling noise on both sides come and go. I was looking at the door to cab body lines and noticed that the doors don't seem to be adjusted properly. Anyone out there with an crew cab open a back door and look at the front door to see if the very bottom door weather striping is even touching the cab? Mine is not and looks like the every door should close a little tighter at the bottom for sure. I will take a picture of what I am talking about and try to post it tomorrow. Let me know what you guys think. I seem to get a bit more road noise from the doors too but it is hard to compare it to my 02 since all I heard on that was the motor and turbo.

Thanks

Mine has a rattle on the drivers side if i roll the window down about a quarter of the way. Since it only happens at one spot and if I roll the window up or down it goes away, I'm not too worried about it. I seem to be a pro at finding the rattle spot though.

I put white lithium grease on all the hinges and door lock mechanisms and the creaking went away. May just need a little lube, and yes....That's what she said!
