Floor heat not working...am I missing something?

Ok, before I get flamed, if this has already been addressed I apologize. I actually did try to search through the org to see if I could find anything, but so far no luck.

That being said, it is beginning to get (relatively) cold down here in Houston, and lately I have noticed that when the heater is on, if I try to use the controls on the dash to change the vents to floor, very little happens down under the dash, and the dash vents are still spitting hot air. No problem with hot air, that's what I want, just in a different location. Am I missing something?

Long shot here....I had an F150 doing the same thing. Took it to the dealer and the door that closes the the dash vents was not operating correctly. They fixed it under warranty. I know...different truck and this was a few years ago...but you never know???
