Where to mount Valentine 1?

Where would I mount my Valentine 1? In my GM vehicles, they have power mirrors and I just tap into that. Am I going to have to run power all the way around down to the fuse block to have the V1 up by the mirror?

My KR has power at the mirror as well. I do not have a camera in the mirror, so it's not going to be a camera only optioned power source. I have a escort unit mounted under the mirror and used the Invisible wire to tap into the mirror harness. I used the same one that I pulled from my GMC when I traded it. I'll post a picture to give you the pinout. Mine is a 2011, so a multimeter may help make sure you get the right wires.

Unfortunately, I have an XL so i'm going to have to run a wire up the A pillar and under the headliner over to the mirror I guess

I've mounted mine right under the rear view mirror in my last 3 Ford trucks using this, and it works really well. Completely clean installation.

For power, I have the upfitter switches... and just used the 10amp #3 switch wire located under the steering wheel. Ran the wire behind the A-pillar, and under the front lip of the headliner.
