steering wheel is squeeking

Hi, guys
I have been driving my truck alot lately and the steering wheel has been having a squeeking noise while driveing. I have taken it to the dealer and they can never find anything. Has anyone else had that problem.

I have noticed a squeeking but I believe it is coming from the dash. Each time I notice it I smack the dash just left of the steering wheel and it stops. Maybe try hitting something and see if that fixes the squeek

Nope the only squeaks i have come from the dang seatbelt receivers sound like an old couch.

Could it be the joints in the steering column getting dry and squeeking... My old dodge used to do that, it was like a metal to metal sqeek

Thanks, I just picked up my truck from the dealership and they didnt find anything wrong with it again. But if you put pressure on the steering wheel it stops. So i guess i will be taking it to the original dealer i bought it from because they told me they would fix it.

mine does the exact same thing as well as my girlfriends 94 crown victoria. im interested to see what the fix is. its so annoying!!!

Mine has a squeak from the dash on the driver's side. It is definitely the dash. I shoved a lighter in the space between the dash and the windshield and that fixed it. It's lame to have a lighter there all the time though.

I have the same ANNOYING/DRIVE YOU CRAZY/****! I squeeze the overhang at the guages, then it goes away, then comes back. Then i put a rag in between the door and the left side of the dash, then it goes away, then comes back. HOW Can this be fixed??????
