Can you add the rapid heat option?

My 08 6.4 had the rapid heat in it....I didnt think much of it on that truck and didnt get my new one w/ it. Little did I realize that it actually worked pretty darn well lol....it took a bit but the truck was always pretty warm after 4-5 mi no matter how cold. A few weeks back it was about 2 degrees out....on my 20 mi trip into work I froze my arse off.....well not really I had toasty buns from the seat heater but all else was cold! My coolant gauge hardly came off the needle and ill let u guess how cold the cab was lol.

I know it requires the hd alternator, but ive got the snow plow prep pkg and know it has a hd alternator (im guessing the same alternator?) So is there a way to add it? Thanx!

I've always wondered if those rapid heaters were worth the extra money on the newer style trucks... Interesting! Here's a bump for you.

Im not exactly comparing apples to apples here but I def can feel a difference even on 20-30 degree days. Just watching the coolant gauge the 6.7 does seem to heat up slower compared to the 6.4.....but I cant say I watched the 6.4 alot so I could be talking out my arse on that one lol.....and no I dont have a case of grandpa right foot in case anybodys wondering

Is this for ur truck in ur signature? I think it was an option on 08+ only....only way to know is to look at old window sticker or have ur dealer run an oasis report to see if u dont know

Yep, what he said. I need to update my sig but haven't had a chance to get a decent pic. I just washed the truck yesterday and am going to be pulling my gooseneck tomorrow. Would be a great time for a pic.
