Garage door opener

How do you set the visor button to open the garage door? I couldn't find it in the manual. Also, why 3 buttons? What else can you do with them?

It's called Homelink,

Here is info about it: HomeLink; Home automation,Wireless control system, universal transceiver, RF control, Home security, smart home, vehicle to home, home automation, remote control lighting and home control

It has 3 buttons so that you can use it for 3 different garage doors, electric gates, etc.

Ford no longer uses homelink it is Car2u now. The Car2u is not as easy to set up as the homelink system and it does not work with a lot of doors. My owners manual has programing instruction in it but it is hard to find you can also go to Lear Car2U System: Home Automation System and get instructions. I had to get the conversion module to get it to work with my doors.

Thanks guys. It didn't quite work like the homelink website, but with enough button pushing I was able to get it working in time to head out to work.

It was more like this:
-push program mode button on the garage opener
-on visor push 2 outer buttons for a second or so til all 3 lights light up
-on visor hold your selected button until garage door moves and release button

This worked for me!
