2008 Window Switches Trim Pieces Fitting 2011?

The new 2011 Lariats have silver/gray plastic looking trim pieces around the window switches. My 2008 Lariat has wood-like trim. Dealer said he'll let me swap the trim from my '08 into the new '11 I want to buy - can anyone confirm that they should work?

I see that your sig lists the trim now. I assume it worked? I wouldnt mind doing this as well

Yes sir, they do work. Just pull up on them and they pop out. Disconnect switches and swap. They look great imo.

Only problem is... (and I didn't realize this for several days) the switches for the windows light up the green color used in the '08 - '10 models instead of the more blue/teal color in the '11. Not a big deal and nobody else has noticed yet, but unless you do some more work, they won't match at night....

Good point. I didnt even think about that being a factor. Now I know. If I come across a good set I'll make the swap, but I'm not going to pay dealer price that's for sure

I would imagine the wood grain doesn't match either. The wood grain in my 2011 seems to be more of a matte finish as opposed to the more shinny wood grain in the 2008.

I would like to take the wood grain off around the radio and replace with the gray to match the rest of the dash and doors

The wood grain is slightly off. The 2011 is matte, the 2008 is shiny, but you really have to look to tell. Nobody has noticed to date. I'm still happy with my swap.

What brand is your grill guard and do you have pics of it?????
