A/C power ?

I have an 08 F350 SD and love it. However, one of my disappointments has been the a/c. Here is southern NV it gets HOT and with only the front vents working it takes a while for the the entire cab to cool off. Has anyone seen rear a/c vent in the 2011 SD or a more powerful a/c unit in general? My black lab sure would appreciate better a/c. This is one of the reasons that I may order a new SD after they have about a year to work out the early production bugs.

The ones I saw at the State Fair in Texas had a pass through console with A/C vents (2) for the rear.

Very nice and Thank You. Looks like maybe April 2011 for a new SD for me. I really want to see how the new motor and transmission work out. Besides, my 08 SD is fantastic so why repalce it?

Yes, there is a new design with seperate cooling systems, what that means is it takes less power to move 2 little fans than 1 big one. So long story short, more effeciency = more Power, or faster better A/C

Great news. My black Lab will really appreciate the better a/c. Plus, its just the "reason" that I need to order a new truck.

Just moved from a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado Crew Duramax to a 2011 SD Powerstroke. I am very picky about AC as I too live and drive in hot climates. My Chevy had no rear vents for the back seats. My new SD does and I had my window tinted with Titanium film which is supposed to be the best for heat rejection. I am very, very happy with this truck and amazed at how Ford has raised the bar EXCEPT the AC. My Chevy's AC works far better with even with no rear vents. Even with the AC seats on I things take longer to cool down. Both have trucks have black leather interior.

I'm happy with the A/C, it's much colder than my Dodge.
