Never had gloves rough mine up at all, but I haven't done it a LOT. Lexol leather cleaner followed by Lexol conditioner. I've just used saddle soap for the cleaner, too. (that's not for seats if you have ventilated seats)
I'm a few months late but I've gone on Amazon and purchased Duragloss 222 for my previous KR leather, including the steering wheel. It doesn't leave it slippery and smells just like the KR brand cleaner/conditioner. You can get 221 or 222, the only difference is size of the package. I bought the 32oz for $20. I used it on my recliner at home as well. Good stuff.
