no heat on remote start

It is starting to get cold where I live in Idaho, 22 this morning, and when I use the factory remote start on my 2011 the heater is not coming on as the owners manual says it should. Has anyone had this problem? And if so what was the fix?

This may be way off but have you checked what you have "my temp" set at? I know whatever you have that set to then the truck should adjust the temperature to that degree depending on if it needs to run the a/c or heat...

Manual says no to that

The manual says that no driver settings will work during a remote start. But Thanks for your reply.

Thats weird cause I remote start mine every time I start the truck. The temperature inside the truck, including the heated/cooled seats, always goes to "my temp" regardless of what it was set to before I turned the truck off.

As I understand it, the system will heat or cool as necessary to reach the "my temp" setting when you use the remote start function.

The statement in the book about "no driver settings work" means no changes can be made to settings (knobs and buttons) while in remote start mode. You have to put the key in run position to make changes.

Took me a while to understand this. "My temp" being a setting in the system, not the last temp you used via the knob.

And I've decided it needs to be set to auto. Is that right?

But I'm in Texas and we freak out and worm our trucks if it's 45*.

Blah blah blah

So I need to look at the "my temps" setting. When its cold and I work nights I set the heater and fan to full blast so that when i get back to the truck and start it remotely, its blows hot, but I have never been able to get the seats to remember a hot or cold setting. once I get in I then turn the seats to hot or cold. You guys saying I need to set in auto or on the "my temps" setting, to get the seats to respond?
