I have had both. Had the WeatehrTech's in a 2011 and Husky's in my 2015. I prefer the Husky over the WeatherTech. The channels in the Husky are deeper and seem to cover more area along the sides and door edge.
I have the weathertechs in my 15. At first I hated them when I put them in. The material was way more of a sturdy plastic feel and they just looked funky. Since then I have tucked them under the panels and they have really grown on me. I have yet to cut/tuck in the driver side completely. Will post pics later for ya! But honestly I would definitely still entertain looking at husky matts because at the price tag on these, I shouldn't have to be cutting and tucking just to make them look good
Overall, I've been happy with the WeatherTech's. I put them in all my vehicles. I would agree that I do have a slight issue with the driver's side on my 05, so not sure why that would be terribly different than the ones in the wife's 08, which fit perfectly. The ones in my wife's Edge and my son's Escape also fit perfectly and look great.
I was given husky mats over 10yrs ago for my 04. Moved them to my 06 in 2008. I sold the truck a month or so ago. Mats are still in really good shape. I also have them in my 05. I like them alot. I bought weather techs used off craigslist for my 2016. $75 bucks. The work just fine. Moved the all weather mats to the wifes car. I want to keep my carpet new.
Its cool how everyone has a different opinion. I have the weathertech in 15 KR with the black carpet and dark dash. I really like them. I put husky in my daughters truck and we both would have either brand. Both are quality mats so you cant go wrong with either
I like those better than the weathertech ones in my 2016. I has the hump mat im my 2006 it was geeat for catching cup spills. My 2005 is a manual so it would be a pita to cut one to fit
Exactly! The center hump piece is great for that. Also, to clean them you just vacuum, wipe them down with rag or sometimes I just put some McGuire's natural look dash cleaner on them.
Are the Huskys thicker than the weathertechs? I really liked weathertechs in my last couple tucks but would like something a little thicker that laid flat.
I only have experience with weathertechs are the came with our 2007 suburban when we bought it used. I know they are spendy so probably wouldn't purchase them. I really like the front mats, seem durable and keep their shape. the rear mat thats full width is terrible. its flimsly and has lost is shape curling up on the edges.
Damn those husky x-act look great. Always hated how they changed the factory all weathers after 2011 to the way smaller ones. 2011 all weather cover the whole footwell. Look a lot like the x-act. Very nice.
Weather tech are ok. Had them in my 08. But they're that thin hard plastic. Rather have the thick rubber
I have had both and prefer the Husky over the WeatherTech. The channels in the Husky are deeper and the mats seem more pliable (easier to fit shape of floor). As far as thicker, i can not say with honesty but it does seem the Husky might be slightly thicker. I prefer the Husky material over the WeatherTech.
I can take pictures of them if you want but the weathertech ones are in my 16 and the husky mats are in my 05
