is this a good idea??

I have an XRT Pro Pt#109006 unlocked for my '13. The connection on the back is messing up a bit like its loose, last time i was changing the tune it lost connection and had to start over(was worried it would mess up my tuning) H&S has told me to keep my truck programmed and they will give me an "RMA" number and to send it to them and they will repair it,or replace it. My concerns are losing my stock file, losing my unlock code, losing the entire unit somewhere in the USPS, or for some reason H&S saying they cant return an unlocked 109006 XRT to me to keep using on my truck. Am i just being overly worried or are these concerns something to really be concerned about. Has anyone had to deal with this before?????

I haven't heard of any issues like this. If it were me I would trust H&S I don't think they would screw you over but you never know.

I'm not thinking H&S would screw a customer around by any means its just that all these new laws and rules that they are stuck with may have them obligated to not return what I already have. Or what happens if my stock files are lost?? It sucks to pay so much for a small tune and it could possibly shut you down and cost $$$$$. I just wanted some info from you guys to know what you would do. Maybe I should just leave it alone, but 1500$ is alot to pay for a paper weight

I did notice as well the connection for the cable to the XRT is pretty flimsy. I usually hold mine while its tuning because Im afraid of what will happen if it loses connections when its halfway through. I have had the tuner for 5 months now and have only changed the tune 3 times so I dont really let the issue bother me much. Prob wont use the tuner for a while now that its on performance, it is going to be staying there!

I'm pretty much the same way I rarely change my tune, but im wondering what happens if one day I need to use it and it doesnt work at all will I be able to have it fixed. So I either chance sending it in now or see if it's even gonna be a problem in the future. I've got 2 other xrt's and never had a problem from them at all. I think im just being paranoid but they are so costly nowadays. It also gives me peace of mind to check out other guys input on certain subjects in these forums
