6.4 spartan tuner used on 6.7?

So I was doing some light reading on the Spartan website and am I correct in thinking if I want to use my old programmer from my 6.4 on my 6.7 that I have to pay 599 to get it re licensed to tune my 6.7? even if I returned my 6.4 to stock before I sold it?

Yes. You are just buying new tunes at this point.

Called Rudy's diesel performance the other day to ask the same question about a 6.4 SCT tuner I had previously bought. In theory, the same principle applies.

2011: F-350, King Ranch. It will remain stock.

Popular opinion on site appears to be $250 to relicense the Spartan programmer from them. Not sure if other $250 charge is for the tune download or not. Waiting for someone to chime in.......
