H&S Tuner Swap Help

Not 100% positive on how to go about doing this so I figure y'all will know. I have XRT on my 2012 F250. My friend has a Mini Maxx on his 2011 F250. I want to put his Mini Maxx on my 2012 and he wants his (2011) back to stock with stock exhaust to sell his. Both trucks have 4" TBE. What would be the easiest way of doing this? Or can I even do this? We both installed our tuners ourselves but have never done a swap so I'm not sure if there are any tricks to this I need to know. We have both had these tuners for at least 2 years so they are not new. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It would ultimately depend on whether its a true race tuner or an unlocked street tuner. either way it's easily done. as long as the tuner is proper uninstalled i.e. truck is returned to stock, all you would have to do is plug it up to the second truck and install. if its a true race tuner you'll need to purchase the $100 vin code from H&S off the website, they still have them and easily obtained. best thing to do is call H&S, they are always more than helpful and will get you the info you need. their customer support has been great for me and many others on here.

theres page after page of good info on these tuners and how to install/unistall and upgrade if you do a search.

Thank you for your help and advice. I will probably contact H&S just to be safe. I can remember buying a code for $100 when I got mine but that won't have anything to do with the Mini Maxx. Anywho thanks again.

I don't think you will need to purchase another unlock code if your friend already bought the $100 unlock code to access 6.7 tuning on his Mini Maxx. Be sure to clarify the details of your situation when you speak to H&S. They will not refund your purchase once the unlock code has been sent...

Good point. I thought it was vin specific... I've got an unlocked XRT street tuner so didn't need it...

I wouldn't have thought to mention it, but some guy did that very thing and complained about H&S not giving him a refund a couple weeks ago.
