Waste Gate or Turbo Issue?

I'll be doing my delete next week so I'm partially paranoid that's something's on the verge of breaking and about a week after I pull everything it'll cr*p out on me.

Every now and then if I do almost a "double rev" of the throttle and let completely out immediately after I'll get a loud popping sound from the engine bay. Haven't really heard it too much until lately, but again.... may just be paranoid. If I'm driving at relatively low RPM and quickly stomp it to the floor and let back out the noise will occur. It's definitely not the "whoosh" sound that most describe, but again, I'm not deleted yet so I'm not sure.

I haven't had any other noticeable issues with acceleration, boost/turbo performance or anything else. It seems like it'd just be the waste gate as the turbo reaches the target boost and dumps off, but again, it's not the typical whoosh sound.

So again.... paranoid or normal??????
