Fuel additive question

After doing a DPF and EGR delete is it safe and a good idea to use a fuel additive to add additional lubrication?

My 13 was deleted for 15k before trading it in for my 14 which has been deleted for 3k and ive run Motorcraft cetane booster in both almost every tank. Also helps with super rich smell from tailpipe due to the fact that it helps give a more complete burn .

Deleting the EGR and DPF doesn't change the fact that ULSD isn't lubricated enough for our pump and injectors. Keep using it.

I agree but I was trying to find out what everyone else was using. I've heard of people using 2 cycle oil, Lucas, and many other things.

I use Howes. I find all additives are pretty much the same, I get Howes cheap through work so I run it, also nice if your in a cold climate over the winter, Howes guarantees you won't have a tank of fuel gel with there stuff or they will pay to have vehicle towed and cleaned out.

Also run a little 2 stroke every once in a while, only do this once deleted though.

I've been using Opti-Lube XPD in my rig.....for nearly 40K miles....I've been extremely satisfied with the product. I don't use anything different when we're well below zero in the winter and the truck fires up quickly with vey minimal smoke. The rig before this one....I used a combo of a cetane booster and added a cold flow improver to the mix when temps fell below zero....this combo didn't seem to perform as well as the Opti-Lube...but this is just my experience, YMMV.
